IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW......

The D SCALE Collection is designed by award-winning interior designer, Dennis Duffy. Dennis found that it was often times easier to design customized furniture to meet his client's needs than it was to shop around for that perfect piece. Dennis opened D SCALE in November of 2007 hoping to provide this same ability to fellow designers and customers alike. The D SCALE core collection includes case goods and upholstery that is completely custom-capable. Production of these custom furniture designs happens locally within the New England area and takes anywhere from 6-12 weeks. Dennis sought out several other established collections that would complement the D SCALE line. It was important to him that these collections also provide clients with custom capability options. Emporio Beraldin, Polaris, Ercole, and Duveen 20th Century are a few examples of the collections represented at D SCALE that offer custom options. If you saw a table in a magazine five years ago and you can't get it out of your head or find it anywhere we are happy to pool our resources and provide quotes for having that piece made especially for you. The same goes with our accessories and pillows. What we offer for sale off the floor is a small selection chosen to complete the D SCALE aesthetic. If we don't have exactly what you are looking for we will work with you and our vendors and find what you need. D Scale Furnishings featured at the new 45 Province

D Scale furnishings are being featured at the newly opened 45 Province, a 32-story full service luxury condominium tower located at the foot of Beacon Hill on Province Street in downtown Boston. Developed by the Abbey Group, 45 Province features 138 one to three-bedroom units ranging from approximately 1,000 to 2,600 square feet.  Prices for the residences start in the $600,000s. Each unit features 9 foot ceilings; bamboo hardwood floors; stone and quartz kitchen countertops; Italian-style kitchen cabinetry in walnut and lacquer finish; Sub-Zero refrigerators; Bosch/Miele kitchen appliances; crystallized glass bathroom vanities; bathroom fixtures by Waterworks and fully tiled walk-in showers in the master baths.

Interiors & Sources Magazine showcases the Rolo Chair

The April 2009 issue of Interiors & Sources Magazine features D Scale's Rolo Chair in its article "Upholstered Furniture."  Designed by Reinaldo Leandro and Arnoldo Gaite, the vintage 1960's Rolo Chair has a tubular chrome plated metal arm and base structure that meanders its way around the chair and down to the ground for support.  The back and seat cushions are cylindrical tubes of foam covered in black leather that actually roll... hence the name 'Rolo Chair.' 

This chair is one of numerous leather furnishings offered at D Scale which also features the Polaris line of leather sectionals, sofas, and chairs from Italy.  Shown below is the Midway sectional.

D SCALE has had this console in the entry way for some time now and I can't tell you the number of people it draws. The traditional New Englander's from the Northshore and the loft-owning modern-minded SoWA dwellers can all agree that this console is something they can live with. Expertly crafted and conceptually...urr amazing...this is only a taste of what Jacob Kulin the artist behind Kulin Modern is capable of. Jacob creates truly one-of-a-kind pieces by juxtaposing raw organic woods with more industrial metal and glass making his massive sculptures appear delicate as they float and flex in thin air. Jacob's one-off furnishings have evolved into sculptural installations and he has been commissioned all over the world.
